Mike Kane is an award-winning Seattle-based freelance photographer specializing in regional documentary, editorial, and commercial photography and multimedia. He is currently pursuing partnerships with non-profit organizations and working to gain exposure as a national freelancer. Regular clients include The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Seattle University and the Marguerite Casey Foundation. Mike's work has also appeared in The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Mother Jones Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, and many other print and online publications. Mike has published multimedia pieces with AOL News and PBS, both in Seattle and nationally. He is proud to have been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 2009 and to be named finalist for the 2009 Taylor Award at Harvard and the 2010 Dorothea Lange-Paul Talyor Prize at the Center for Documentary Studies.
